Terms and Conditions
I trade as The Little Pixie and am bound by the laws of England and Wales. All work is handmade by myself using COE96 Spectrum glass and kiln fired in a Skutt Firebox8.
Upon receipt of an order and full payment production of your work will begin and will be posted out within seven working days using Royal Mail second class post. If you require work more urgently please get in touch and I will advise the earliest possible shipping date.
Once work has begun a refund is unlikely but please get in touch depending upon circumstances and whether I can resell a piece. If it has been completely personalised for example with a name or from a personal photograph then a refund will not be available to you.
All work will be packaged safely to arrive complete but as work is glass and fragile breakages may occur. Depending on the reason for the breakage a refund or replacement may be possible but please get in touch as soon as possible to discuss.
For classes or external events such as craft fairs I hold public liability insurance of £5 million and a copy of certificate can be made available upon request.
If attending a workshop or class with me all safety equipment and instructions will be provided, if followed injury is extremely unlikely. In the event that you are hurt or injured if you have not followed the safety instructions I accept no liability. If it is my fault then yes there is liability insurance available to claim against.
For workshops and events you will be required to sign acceptance of following all safety instructions and also a photograph waiver. If you are uncomfortable having your image shared please make me aware so I can respect your wishes.
For bespoke commissions there are additional legal aspects we have to be mindful under UK law with regard to receipt and distribution of pornography relating to minors and vulnerable adults. Most are completely consensual and celebrate your own life choice but the reality is if we are in any way unsure that the image is not of a consenting adult with free choice we may seek proof and/or report to the UK Police dependant upon the image received. Your statutory rights are covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and all work is as described and fit for purpose, if you have particular queries or questions please ask before purchasing to avoid disappointment over an expectation.
This list is not exhaustive and may change over time but is indicative of how I work and how you are covered by the laws of England and Wales relating to you as my customer and me as a sole trader.
